Hotel Description
Nestled in the heart of Venice’s most prestigious district, the 3-star B&B Al Teatro with canal view offers an exceptional stay in the magical floating city. Located at 2554 San Marco 1, in the historic San Marco district, this boutique accommodation combines classic Venetian charm with modern comforts. With an outstanding guest rating of 9.3, this highly acclaimed establishment has consistently impressed visitors with its impeccable service, prime location, and authentic Venetian experience. The B&B’s name hints at one of its most alluring features – stunning views of Venice’s picturesque canals, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the city’s unique aquatic ambiance from the comfort of their accommodation.
Situated in the San Marco district, the B&B Al Teatro places guests at the epicenter of Venetian culture and history. Just steps away from the iconic St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco), visitors can easily explore the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica with its Byzantine domes and the imposing Campanile bell tower. The renowned Doge’s Palace, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, is within comfortable walking distance, as is the legendary Bridge of Sighs. The hotel’s strategic position also provides convenient access to the Teatro La Fenice, Venice’s historic opera house, which the establishment’s name subtly references. After a day of exploration, guests can wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets filled with boutique shops, traditional trattorias, and artisanal gelaterias, all before returning to their tranquil canal-side retreat.
What truly sets B&B Al Teatro apart, as reflected in its exceptional 9.3 rating, is the perfect balance of authenticity and comfort it offers. The accommodation embraces the rich architectural heritage of Venice while providing modern amenities essential for today’s discerning travelers. Each morning, guests can wake to the gentle sounds of gondoliers passing below their windows, a true Venetian serenade. The attentive staff, known for their personalized service, offer insider knowledge of Venice’s hidden gems – from secluded campos (squares) to local bacari (wine bars) where visitors can sample cicchetti, Venice’s delicious take on tapas. For those seeking to experience Venice beyond the typical tourist path, the B&B serves as an ideal base from which to discover the city’s less frequented, yet equally enchanting neighborhoods such as Dorsoduro and Cannaregio. As evening falls, guests can return to B&B Al Teatro to watch the sunset paint golden hues across the canals, creating picture-perfect moments that epitomize the romantic allure of Venice. This exceptional 3-star establishment doesn’t just offer accommodation; it provides an authentic gateway to the timeless beauty and rich cultural tapestry of La Serenissima.

Charming place very close to St Mark’s square. Eleonora is a wonderful host who was very helpful with travel advice. We also appreciated the tasty breakfasts ahead prepared herself. Bonus: gondolier serenades right outside our room’s window!

Beautiful canal views. Very old building that was comfortable and modernized. Host is very helpful.
Venice is a maze, but most places were walkable!Sanaa from France – 3 March 2025 (8/10)
Ideal location to visit the city on foot, everything is within 10 to 20 minutes walk.
Also ideal to go to and come from Marco Polo Airport, as the B&B is 10 to 15 minutes away from the boat stop.
The place is easy to find if you follow Eleonora's instructions.
She is a great host, very professional, and gives great tips to visit the city and choose restaurants.
The room was big, very clean, fully equipped (blow-dryer, kettle, tea and coffee, safe, toiletries, mini fridge). The bed was comfortable.
Breakfast is varied
What could be improved: Sometimes a bit of noise in the night / early morning, but not every nightSteve1967 from United States – 22 November 2024 (10/10)
I moved to Germany for work and when I can, my wife and I are coming to Venice, it's a unique city , this is our third time and it's the third time at the B&B al Teatro.
We loved everything. The owner, Eleonora, the location, the breakfast, the atmosphere… Also, surprisingly quiet considering central location
Excellent location in Venice with easy Vaporetto access and close to St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace.
Eleonora were superb in providing information and making sure needs were met. Excellent buffet breakfast with the best cappuccino we've ever had.
Beautiful room overlooking the small canal. We enjoyed watching the gondolas and hearing the occasional serenade, It's amazing .The room and bathroom were roomy & clean, comfortable bed. Old world decor
Great historical experience.Absolutely charming. Just entered, we immediately feel that we are in real Venice, there are no modern elements here, which adds authenticity to the interior.
Eleonora see you soon 😀Τασος from Greece – 17 November 2024 (10/10)
Eleonora is an excellent host, very caring, she gave us very useful tips for our transportation and walks. The breakfast was very rich and tasty, the croissants always fresh and warm. The room very comfortable and clean, the view of the canal from the balcony is awesome (we could hear the songs of the gondoliers), and the spot is very convenient for our tours.

Great view and walking location to everything you want to see. Very close to San Mark's Square, 10 minutes walling from. Rialto bridge and 2 minutes walking from Giglio water bus.
The room size was bigger than expected, very clean,, the bed was comfortable. Amazing canal views from our windows.
Our host, Eleonara, couldn’t be more helpful and pleasant!
it's certainly not cheap but we are in the centre of Venice and it was worth it.
Highly recommended 😀❤️Niaz from United States – 11 September 2024 (10/10)
Eleonora was very nice and she gave me real good advice on exploring the area and where to eat. My room was very clean. The bathroom was renovated. I could see canals from my window which was nice. Access to everywhere was very easy. I definitely recommend this place and I would definitely go there if I ever go back to Venice again.
Gergana from Austria – 30 August 2024 (10/10)
We had a wonderful stay and Eleonora is a great host, who is always there to help, to have a nice talk and to serve a really perfect breakfast (with fresh fruits every day)! Following her recommendations, tipps and information, we had an unforgettable stay in Venice! We could also check in earlier, leave our luggage after check-in an recieved a room in a superior cathegorie (without additional fees). We will definitly come back!
