Ca’ Roberta Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Ca’ Roberta feels like stumbling upon a well-kept Venetian secret. The entrance sits tucked along a narrow walkway in San Marco — you know, the kind of spot where you’d expect to find a local’s favorite bacaro rather than a three-star hotel. I’ll be honest, the building itself won’t knock your socks off from the outside, but there’s something charming about how it blends seamlessly into the historic neighborhood fabric. The reception area is compact but welcoming, with that lived-in feel that makes you think actual Venetians might have called this place home for generations.
Location Perfection
Here’s the thing about Ca’ Roberta — the location is absolutely unbeatable. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of San Marco, which means St. Mark’s Square is basically a three-minute stroll from your door. But what I really love is how you can duck down the side streets and find yourself in quieter corners where locals still hang their laundry between buildings. The Rialto Bridge is close enough for an easy evening walk, and honestly, you’ll save a fortune on water taxi rides because everything worth seeing is within walking distance. Couples seem to get this — the hotel has this romantic, tucked-away vibe that makes it feel like your own private Venice discovery.
The Rooms
The accommodations at Ca’ Roberta are what I’d call “authentically Venetian” — which is a nice way of saying they’re cozy rather than spacious. The rooms have that old-world charm with exposed beams and traditional Venetian touches, though don’t expect cutting-edge amenities or Instagram-perfect bathrooms. What you do get is character — lots of it. The windows in some rooms offer glimpses of canal life or peek into charming courtyards, and there’s something magical about falling asleep to the sound of water lapping against ancient stones just outside your window.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here start with a simple continental breakfast that won’t win any awards but gets the job done. Actually, I’d recommend skipping it some days and wandering to one of the nearby cafes for a proper Italian coffee and cornetto — you’re in Venice, after all. The staff is genuinely helpful with directions and recommendations, which matters more than you might think when you’re navigating Venice’s maze-like streets. They seem to understand that guests want insider tips, not just tourist trap suggestions.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to Ca’ Roberta isn’t upscale or modern conveniences — it’s the authentic Venice experience you get for a reasonable price. You’re staying in a real Venetian building, in the actual heart of the city, without paying five-star prices. The 7.9 rating reflects exactly what this place is: solid, charming, and perfectly positioned for exploring. Sure, you might have to climb some stairs and deal with quirky plumbing, but when you can roll out of bed and be at the Doge’s Palace in five minutes, those minor inconveniences fade pretty quickly.

Reviews of Ca’ Roberta
Huio from Taiwan – 9 March 2025 (8/10)
What could be improved: 公寓在高樓層無電梯,要自己提行李上五樓,接待員工拒絕幫忙。接待員要求入住即交城市稅,不信任住客。Saumil from India – 3 November 2024 (6/10)
Ample space, well lit. Airy.
What could be improved: It’s on the 4th floor without a lift. This isn’t indicated in the listing. It is very difficult to drag luggage up and down. A short grocery run ends up being a stressful event. We aren’t built as athletes. I feel this should have been clearly communicated and not dropped as a surprise at the last moment when checking in.Paschalis from Greece – 24 June 2024 (8/10)
Perfect location very close to Museums, Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's square. Very comfortable and spacious apartment, suitable for families. As I am a fan of cars and used to read a lot of automotive magazines, I really liked the fact that in the flat you will find many magazines of that type from the '80s and '90s. It was really a very pleasant surprise for me.
What could be improved: Nothing bad to mention, we were all very happy with the apartment. I strongly recommend.Larisa from Estonia – 23 October 2023 (8/10)
Location is just perfect
What could be improved: Kitchen could be more equipped with everyday things such as paper towels and cleaning cloths. Some basic things for cooking were missing. There was only 1 sheet available for 2 friends sharing the double bed, no blankets at all.
A personal belonging was left in a drawer of a bedside table, however cleaning lady did not find anything :((Юлия from Russia – 22 July 2023 (9/10)
What could be improved: Понравилось все, за исключением того , что очень много раз писали для подтверждениия прибытия в апартаменты с уточнением конкретного времени .

The location was amazing, near the Rialto Bridge so always easy to find. Lots of room, very large kitchen/dining area and large living room. The option for 3 beds if you include the sofa bed. Lots of windows and a view of tiled roof tops. All in all a good stay.
What could be improved: A few things would have made the place more homey: kitchen hand towels, napkins, paper towels, dust pan, kitchen shears, oven mits and wine glasses (there was one). The light over the kitchen stove didn't work. And we ran out of toilet paper before the end of our stay. Not deal breakers but would have made for a more homey, comfortable stay. The thing I really didn't like was that the trash was collected the morning before we left so we had to figure out what to do with the remaining trash at check out. Also the stairs are a killer though I did get a cardio work out with them.Anne from France – 7 May 2023 (7/10)
Bonne literie
What could be improved: Peu d'équipement dans la cuisine et peu de vaisselle, ceci pourrait être amélioré pour une location d'appartementCharlotte from Denmark – 18 October 2022 (8/10)
What could be improved: Det var meget svært at finde lejligheden
Kathryn from Australia – 2 October 2022 (9/10)
Amazing location, beautiful, inviting property, Francesco was wonderful (with a very late check in!), excellent facilities, overall wish we had stayed longer! Would happily stay here again.
What could be improved: We liked everything about the apartment, but not the many stairs leading up to the apartment. A dryer also would be a great addition with the washer.M•c from France – 29 September 2022 (9/10)
Litterie confortable
What could be improved: Peu de couverts, et de bol.
