ISEPO APARTMENT Overview

First Impressions

Walking through the narrow streets of Castello to find ISEPO APARTMENT feels like you’re on a treasure hunt — and honestly, that’s part of the charm. This three-star property sits tucked away in one of Venice‘s most authentic neighborhoods, where you’ll actually hear more Italian than English echoing off the ancient walls. The building itself has that weathered Venetian character you can’t fake, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that you’ve found something special.

The Perfect Venetian Hideaway

What struck me most about this place is how it manages to feel like a real Venetian home rather than just another tourist apartment. The space has been thoughtfully designed with modern comforts while keeping those original details that make Venice so magical — you know, the kind of place where you can picture yourself actually living for a while. The location score of 9.5 isn’t just a number either; it really shows when you realize you can walk to San Marco in about ten minutes, but you’re far enough away from the crowds to feel like you’ve discovered your own corner of the city.

Location & Neighborhood

Castello is honestly one of my favorite areas in Venice, and this spot puts you right in the heart of it all. You’re practically neighbors with locals doing their daily shopping at the nearby markets, and there’s this wonderful restaurant called Alle Testiere just a few streets over that serves some of the best seafood I’ve had anywhere. The couples who stay here seem to get it — they’ve rated the location 9.7 for romantic trips, and I can see why. There’s something incredibly intimate about wandering these quieter canals together, especially in the early morning when the light hits the water just right.

Practical Comforts

The apartment itself hits all the right notes for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well-equipped enough that you can actually cook if you want to — and trust me, after a few days of restaurant meals, you might appreciate having that option. Everything feels clean and well-maintained, which isn’t always a given in Venice’s older buildings. The 9.4 rating really shows in the details; it’s clear the owners pay attention to what guests actually need rather than just what looks good in photos.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back here, I think, is that perfect balance between authentic Venice and modern comfort. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where Venetians actually live and work, not some tourist bubble. The fact that couples consistently rave about the location tells you something — this is the kind of place where you can have those spontaneous moments that make travel memorable. Whether it’s discovering a hidden campo around the corner or finding that perfect spot along the canal for an evening aperitivo, ISEPO APARTMENT gives you the freedom to experience Venice like you belong there, not just like you’re passing through.

Venice’s hotels pair butlered gondolas, Murano chandeliers, and concierge-led lagoon hops.

What could be improved: All good

  • Ken from Canada – 3 February 2025 (10/10)

The location was just steps away from the Vaparetto. From there you were able to go anywhere you wanted. You were also a 10 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. There were also a cafe and bakery steps away from the apartment and two restaurants around the corner. Overall just a great place away from the tourist part of Venice. It was a lovely renovated apartment perfect for a couple. GianFranco met us at the dock and acquainted us with the area and his apartment that was well stocked.

    What could be improved: Nothing!

The host was extremely helpful and very responsive. Check in was smooth and having the host their to check us in as well as give recommendations was greatly appreciated. The property is really quaint and lovely. Everything was clean. Loved how easily accessible it was from the grand canal ferry bus.

What could be improved: The bed could have been comfier but not a deal breaker

Location was near the Biennale giardini, tucked away in a quiet street, but very near the supermarket and lots of restaurants and cafes.

  • Alyssa from Australia – 29 June 2024 (10/10)

The owner, Gianfranco was very helpful. He gave us recommendations and was super responsive to messages. The property was perfect and we highly recommend staying here!

What could be improved: The caffetteria was slightly rusted on the bottom and the hairdryer cord was frayed, however this was not an issue, as Gianfranco replaced this immediately after we had made him aware of this.

  • Rosemary from United Kingdom – 9 June 2024 (10/10)

Excellent location in a quiet, non-touristy part of Venice yet with easy access to the main sites and very close to the Biennale modern art exhibition. The apartment is extremely well equipped and the owner is always available for advice. Lots of good restaurants and shops nearby and only a few minutes from the Grand Canal, yet the area still retains an authentic Venetian way of life. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to go back again.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Anne from France – 18 July 2023 (10/10)

Location was out of the tourist main drags, quiet, local. Nice restaurants nearby. And AC. It was 35 outside but the AC made it possible to sleep

What could be improved: A coffee machine (type Nespresso) would be nice
