Castello is genuinely one of my favorite parts of Venice to stay in. You’re close enough to everything — San Marco is a short walk, the Arsenale is practically around the corner — but the streets around here feel lived-in. There are locals buying groceries, cats on windowsills, laundry strung between buildings. It’s the kind of neighborhood that reminds you Venice is an actual city, not just a theme park. And being on a fondamenta means you’ve got a canal right outside, which, I mean, never gets old.

The Feel of the Place

This is a three-star property, so don’t come expecting marble lobbies or a rooftop bar. What you do get is something that feels genuinely personal — the kind of small hotel where someone actually cares how your stay is going. The rating sits at 9.4, which for a three-star in Venice is pretty remarkable when you think about it. Guests clearly leave happy, and it’s not hard to see why. There’s a warmth to the place that a lot of bigger hotels just can’t manufacture.

Perfect for Two

Couples especially seem to fall for this place, and honestly it makes total sense. Venice is already one of the most romantic cities in the world — sort of absurdly so — and staying somewhere like Pink House in Venice city center only adds to that. You’re not sharing a massive hotel corridor with a hundred other tourists. It’s quiet, it’s intimate, and waking up to the sounds of the canal outside rather than a busy street feels like a small but real upscale. A morning stroll along the fondamenta before the crowds arrive? That’s the kind of thing you’ll remember.

You’re in the heart of Venice without being in the chaos of it — which is a balance that’s genuinely hard to find.   Very clean apartment with everything needed (even a toothpaste was provided). Comfortable bed and soda. 10 min. walk from the Rialto bridge, 30 min. walk from the bus stop at Piazzale Roma. Grocery stores and major sites nearby. Sara and Elise were very nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying at the Pink House in Venice.
