The bathrooms are modern and well-designed (which honestly can be hit-or-miss in Venice’s older buildings), and the beds are genuinely comfortable. What struck me most was how quiet everything felt, especially considering you’re in the heart of one of the world’s busiest tourist destinations. The apartments come with kitchenettes too, which is brilliant if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the nearby Rialto Market and have a quiet breakfast before the city wakes up.

Neighborhood Charm

San Polo has this wonderful rhythm to it — mornings bring the market vendors setting up near Rialto, afternoons see locals chatting in small campos (squares), and evenings transform the area into this intimate network of wine bars and restaurants. You’re close enough to everything important, but far enough from the main tourist routes that you can actually breathe. I particularly loved how easy it was to find good coffee in the morning — there are several local cafes within a block where you can grab an espresso and cornetto without fighting through crowds of sightseers.

  The location. The kitchen was fine. The bathroom clean.

  The location was within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and other points of interests. The apartment was clean and tidy. The main bedroom had beautiful wooden built-ins on one wall.

  Located great, near the main bridge, but in a quiet area, so there were no problems with night noise.

  There was not much Light in the apartment. Coffee machine was a bit broken. Stairs were noisy, so when one wants to come down – everyone else will awake.
