What I appreciated most was how quiet things stayed, even though you’re literally in the center of one of Europe’s busiest tourist destinations. The beds are comfortable, and there’s enough storage space for a week-long stay without feeling cramped.

Navigating Venice from Here

Here’s what locals won’t tell you — being this close to San Marco means you can actually enjoy the famous sites during those magical early morning or late evening hours when the day-trippers have cleared out. I’d walk to St. Mark’s Basilica before 8 AM and have the place almost to myself, then return to the hotel for a break before the crowds descended. The Doge’s Palace, Rialto Bridge, all the major water taxi stops — everything’s within easy walking distance. But more importantly, you’re also close to some excellent bacari (those small Venetian bars) that tourists often miss because they stick to the main drags.

  The location is only 5 minutes from the water bus stop and is ideal for travelling and walking around Venice. Only 15/20 minutes walk from all the activities we had booked which were on either side of Venice.
  There was a lovely balcony area where you could enjoy a coffee and croissant for breakfast. The area is quiet and safe and easy to find your way around.
  
  Francesca as a host is just amazing, we had a few mishaps along the way she went above and beyond to come to our rescue.. nothing was a bother to her and she never complained she was so helpful. She initially met us off the ferry and explained everything in detail how everything worked, recommended places to eat. We even had slippers and dressing gowns provided.
  I would definitely recommend it.
