The building itself has that weathered Venetian charm — nothing flashy, just authentic stonework that’s probably seen centuries of travelers pass through. I mean, when they say this place is in the heart of Venice, they’re not kidding around. You’re about a two-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square — close enough that you can pop back to freshen up between sightseeing, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant crush of tour groups right outside your window. The Rialto Bridge is maybe ten minutes on foot, and honestly, getting lost in these narrow streets between the apartment and major landmarks became one of my favorite parts of staying here. There’s something magical about having your own little corner in San Marco, especially when couples seem to gravitate toward this spot (and I can see why — it’s got that romantic, tucked-away feel).

The Space Itself

The apartment — because that’s really what this is — feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel room. Everything’s clean and functional, though don’t expect five-star upscale touches at a three-star price point. What you do get is space to actually spread out, which is pretty rare in Venice where most accommodations feel like elegant shoe boxes. The kitchen area is basic but useful if you want to grab some fresh bread and prosciutto from the local shops. Actually, having that option to prepare simple meals saved me quite a bit of money during my stay.

Living Like a Local

Here’s what I didn’t expect — staying in an apartment-style place in this neighborhood actually made me feel less like a tourist. You start recognizing the same shopkeepers, figuring out which cafe makes the best morning espresso (there’s a tiny place around the corner that locals seem to prefer), and learning the quieter routes to avoid the crowds. The setup encourages you to slow down a bit, which honestly is exactly what Venice deserves. Plus, when you’re tired from walking on all those bridges and uneven stones, having a real living space to retreat to feels pretty wonderful.

  What could be improved: Had some trouble with the AC after asking they said maintenance would come but don’t think they did however seemed to cool off. The back bedroom however still seemed to lack ventilation but we just slept with the door open and used our portable fan.

  Amazing apartment. Very clean and modern. Niccolo met us at our boat stop around midnight to walk us to the apartment, hand over the keys, and document all the paperwork. He was very friendly and helpful. We loved the apartment, very well laid out with three separate bathrooms. Would love to stay here again.

  Best location and best possible service. Multiple warm welcome followup messages in bookings.com The local host was very friendly, and provides very useful transportation infos very timely. The apartment was very new, modern, and very spacious for our family of 4 in very very good price. This is one of our best apartment stays ever. The only thing disappointing is that we only stayed for 2 nights – if we know the place is this comfortable, we’ll plan to spend more days.
  
  What could be improved: Very minor things – with 3 full bathrooms, would be nice to have a set of shampoos/body wash in each bathroom; a few plates/utensils would be nice (though we mainly eat out as there are so many great restaurants, bakeries, coffee bars super close by).

  Location is right near St Marks square and a short walk to Rialto bridge for water bus connection to the train station. Apartment is amazing, high-end furniture and appliances with outstanding interior design. Big rooms, comfy beds, three bathrooms/toilets. Can’t rate this place highly enough.
  
  What could be improved: Venice is an expensive city and packed with tourists. Most food and drink options are twice the price of nearby Verona – especially anything located on the square. Our tip, wake up early and explore the sights before lunchtime when people from outside the historical centre descend. Escape the crowds during the afternoon and come back out at sunset to see the city at night.

  The location cannot be beaten, it is so central, a few minutes walk to st Marks square, about 6 minutes to Rialto Bridge. Surrounded by shops and restaurants, it was just the perfect location. The decor is lovely and modern.
  
  Great communication with the host from initial booking. They were brilliant at providing information about the check in and where to ask the water taxi to dock and we were met at the property upon check in with the key.
  
  What could be improved: The only slight downside is that two of the bedrooms are interconnected so you have to walk through one room to get to the other so can be a little awkward for privacy. Two of the rooms are en suite and there is also a separate bathroom so all in all 3 bathrooms so as 3 couples we all got a bathroom each.
  
  We were only provided with 1 set of keys for the stay, I would recommend the host provides an additional set of keys as when travelling in a group/couples, there are occasions when you need to go back to the room separately so it was a little inconvenient.
