B&B Giardini Overview

First Impressions

Walking through the narrow streets of Castello to find B&B Giardini, you’ll know you’ve stumbled onto something special before you even check in. This three-star gem sits tucked away in one of Venice’s most authentic neighborhoods — honestly, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a secret that most tourists never find. The entrance might be modest, but that’s exactly what gives this place its charm. You’re not dealing with marble lobbies or doormen here, just genuine Venetian hospitality in a neighborhood where locals actually live and work.

The Castello Advantage

Here’s what I love about staying in Castello — you get all the magic of Venice without the crushing crowds of San Marco. B&B Giardini sits right in the heart of this district, which means you can actually walk the streets in the morning without dodging tour groups. The location score of 9.5 isn’t just numbers on a website; it’s because you’re genuinely in one of the best spots in the city. Couples especially seem to get this (they rate the location a perfect 10), and I mean, who wouldn’t want to wander these quiet canals hand in hand? You’re close enough to the major sights that nothing feels far, but far enough away that you can breathe.

Your Room and Comfort

The rooms at B&B Giardini strike that perfect balance between authentic Venetian character and modern comfort. You won’t find cookie-cutter hotel furniture here — instead, there’s a thoughtful attention to detail that makes each space feel personal rather than corporate. The beds are genuinely comfortable (trust me, after days of walking on stone streets, this matters), and the bathrooms are well-appointed without trying to be flashy. What really works is how quiet everything feels at night, which is no small feat in a city built on water where sound carries in unexpected ways.

The Neighborhood Experience

Step outside B&B Giardini and you’re immediately in real Venice — not the postcard version, but the living, breathing city. There’s a fantastic local bakery just around the corner where you can grab fresh pastries, and the nearby campos (squares) host small markets where actual Venetians do their shopping. The Arsenale is practically on your doorstep, which gives you this incredible glimpse into Venice’s maritime history without the crowds you’ll find at the Doge’s Palace. Plus, when you want to venture into the busier areas, you’re perfectly positioned — but you always have this peaceful base to return to.

Why Guests Love It

That 8.9 rating isn’t accidental — B&B Giardini delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re visiting Venice. The staff genuinely cares about making your stay work, offering local insights that you won’t find in guidebooks. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a temporary resident rather than just another tourist passing through. The value is exceptional too, especially considering you’re getting this prime location and personal service at three-star prices. You know what really seals the deal? You’ll find yourself planning your next Venice trip before you’ve even checked out, and that’s always the mark of a place that gets it right.

Exploring Venice mixes Gothic arches, artisan mask ateliers, and cicchetti crawls along shadowy rii.

Close to water bus station, main attractions, lots of restaurants near by

What could be improved: A bit small for 4 people

  • Aled from United Kingdom – 28 July 2024 (9/10)

Clean and comfortable appartment with all that's needed for a short stay. Nice location away from the crowds of tourists, yet with all that's needed nearby – restaurants, shops etc, and close enough to walk to San Marco and with good ferry links. Wonderfully friendly and helpful host.

What could be improved: Nothing to mention.

  • Idaewor from United States – 10 July 2024 (9/10)

  • Vaidas from United Kingdom – 21 May 2024 (9/10)

Excellent host. Whenever we needed anything he was there for us, even for asking how to get somewhere. Walking distance from the main attractions and property tucked away from the city hustle.

  • Juan from Argentina – 14 May 2024 (9/10)

We traveled as a couple, and the apartment is very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need for a beautiful vacation. Roberto is a very attentive and friendly gentleman who helped us with everything we needed.

The location was perfect for us. Venice is a city full of tourists, and staying in this area is much quieter. There are restaurants and supermarkets just a few blocks away, and St. Mark's Square is only a 15-minute walk along the coast.

    Grazie mille Roberto!

  • Irene from Canada – 25 April 2024 (9/10)

  • Gg from United Kingdom – 13 April 2024 (9/10)

Perfect location! Very very close walk to central part and all main attractions. Just 2 mins away Via Garibaldi where you'll find so many restaurants with amazingly tasty food! Supermarkets, ice cream shops.
Huge thank you and compliment goes to Roberto! Such a kind, lovely, attentive man! We arrived late at night as plane was delayed. That is no issue. He let us in, showed and explained everything regarding apartment. Every day he will text you to ask if he can be of any help. We travel a lot and he is the best host so far we met.
If you are still thinking to book B&B Giardini, do not hesitate, book it NOW! You will love your stay!!! Thank you, Roberto 😉

  • Natalia from Poland – 10 October 2023 (9/10)

Very friendly owners, located closely to the center. It was clean everywhere and there was air conditioning.

What could be improved: Bathroom is very small.

  • Linda from United Kingdom – 25 September 2023 (9/10)

Lovely old location close to ferry stops, restaurants, bars and coop grocers and Biennale Giardini park. Very clean, well equipped property, ideal for short breaks. Emilia and Roberto very welcoming, also able to leave our luggage in their store as late flight home.

What could be improved: Shower unpredictable, but fine if you follow the useful instructions.
    Otherwise excellent 😁
