The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — you know how Venetian buildings are, space is precious and they make every inch count. The windows open onto the courtyard, which means you get natural light and fresh air without the constant noise of water taxis and tour groups that you’d hear on the Grand Canal. Actually, waking up to the sound of locals chatting in the courtyard below felt more authentic than any canal view I’ve experienced.

Getting Around and Settling In

One thing that surprised me was how easy it became to navigate once you get your bearings — Cannaregio has this logical grid system that’s way more forgiving than other parts of Venice. The nearest vaporetto stop is close enough that you’re not dragging luggage through endless bridges, but you’re also in prime walking territory for most of the major sights. There’s a little grocery store around the corner where locals actually shop, which comes in handy when you want to grab water or snacks without paying tourist prices.

What really sets this place apart is that balance between accessibility and authenticity — you’re staying where Venetians actually live and work, not in some tourist bubble.   Замечательный хозяин, который ответственно относится к размещению своих гостей. Приветлив, терпелив. Особо хочется отметить, что каждый шаг передвижения гостя предвиден и описан заранее: составлен гайд (PDF формат), очень понятный. Предусмотрено абсолютно все! Стиральная и сушильная машина (не пользовались, но наша соседка использовала возможность), отдельная ванная/туалетная комната, в комнатах чисто, постельное белье и полотенца приятно пахнут, общая (апартаменты для 2 семей/компаний) кухня, где есть ВСЕ необходимое. По квартире развешаны подсказки и требования, которые следует соблюдать.
  А еще есть зонтики. Нам не повезло, мы попали в дождливую погоду и взяли зонтик, который потеряли во время прогулки. Хозяин не просто не ругался, он даже не взял за зонтик деньги (а мы настаивали), да еще и разрешил взять другой зонтик на следующий день.
  Выезжать следует вовремя (10:00), но можно оставить багаж в специальной комнате на тот период, на который необходимо.
  Хозяин очень приятный молодой человек, заботливый: подсказал где можно пообедать перед отъездом, дал небольшие советы.
  Очень тихое и красивое место, недалеко от вокзала. Цена-качество: выше ожидаемого. Спасибо большое за то, что пребывание в Венеции испортил только дождь ))

  Квартира перевершила мої очікування. Було дуже чисто. Власник на постійному звязку, готовий підказати, допомогти. Була велика чітка інструкці з порадами. У ванній були різні засоби догляду. На кухні, крім солі і цукру, була різнв кава, чаї, багато спецій, різна олія, і соевий соус

  What could be improved: The kitchen is shared. It should be mentioned in ad..there are around 20 steps you need to take to get to the room. But there is storage on ground floor to store your luggage. The restroom is on hallway that made it uncomfortable. Guests from other room can see you if they come out. For heating at nights you must text him to set it. I wish he has sent some info before check in about how to get to the property. I didnt know I should take several bridges with heavy luggage but on check out he guided me to hire a trolley person to pick up my luggages.
