Rugabella Rialto Deluxe by Wonderful Italy Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Rugabella Rialto Deluxe by Wonderful Italy, you immediately get that feeling of stepping into something special — but not intimidating. The entrance feels intimate rather than grand, which honestly works perfectly for Venice where everything’s a bit more compressed anyway. There’s this warm, welcoming vibe that makes you forget you’re checking into a three-star hotel in one of Europe’s most tourist-heavy cities. The staff actually seem to know what they’re doing, and I mean that in the best way possible — no fumbling around with reservations or blank stares when you ask about the neighborhood.
Location Magic
Here’s the thing about this place — the location is absolutely killer. You’re in San Polo, which puts you right in the thick of things without being stuck in the chaos of San Marco. The Rialto Bridge is basically on your doorstep, and I’m talking a genuine two-minute walk, not that “close to everything” nonsense hotels usually claim. What I love is that you can duck down these little side streets and find yourself in quiet campos where locals are actually hanging out. The morning walk to grab coffee feels like you’re discovering secret Venice, even though you’re staying in the heart of it all.
The Rooms
The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid three-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together without any unnecessary frills. The beds are actually good (you know how hit-or-miss European hotel beds can be), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What surprised me was the attention to detail — proper lighting for reading, decent water pressure, and windows that actually open so you can hear the city waking up. Some rooms catch glimpses of canal life, though honestly, the street views are just as charming with all the foot traffic and daily Venetian drama unfolding below.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here feel right — you can slip out early and have the Rialto area mostly to yourself before the day-trippers arrive. The hotel doesn’t try to be everything to everyone, which I actually appreciate. There’s no massive breakfast buffet or fancy spa, but what they do offer works well. You’re close enough to everything that you don’t need hotel amenities anyway — better to grab pastries from the bakery around the corner and coffee from that little place locals frequent near the fish market.
Why Guests Love It
Couples especially seem to get this place, and I can see why — it’s got that romantic Venice thing going without being cheesy about it. The location score of 9.5 isn’t just marketing fluff; you really can walk everywhere that matters and still retreat to a quieter corner when the crowds get overwhelming. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Venice rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense. For a three-star hotel in this city, Rugabella Rialto Deluxe delivers exactly what most travelers actually need — a comfortable base in an unbeatable location that doesn’t break the bank.
Venice’s hotels pair butlered gondolas, Murano chandeliers, and concierge-led lagoon hops.

Loryladybug from Romania – 28 March 2025 (9/10)
Great big apartment, very close to Rialto Bridge
Kitchen with pans and pots and coffee for all our needs
What could be improved: There is only TV, in the kitchen, and it wasn't working for our entire stay, so i could say there is NO TV in an apartment for with 3 bedrooms
The kitchen appliances were full of scale, we couldn't use the washing machine, we bought a sponge and dishsoap to wash the dishes, the cooffe machine was leaking (u should encourage u'r guests to use flat water and not tap for coffee)
After paying a 190euros cleaning fee on the day of our departure we had to walk with the luggage on our backs and the trash bags in our hands to look for the boat that collects the garbageTihomir from Croatia – 24 February 2025 (7/10)
Location, lot of space, 3 bedrooms, clean, equiped with all you need, 2 bathrooms
What could be improved: Noise from the street, but not that bad.
Heating/hot water system was not working correctly and failing multiple times, so most of the time no hot water or heating during the winter !Luísa from Egypt – 13 January 2025 (9/10)
The property is very big, clean, have a wonderful location with many restaurants, bakeries and touristic points at a 5 minutes walk. The vaporetto is only a 3-minute walk away. The management was very helpful and responsive on some minor issues we had during our stay.
What could be improved: The apartment is at the top of a very inclined stairs with very short steps. I knew the apartment was on the second floor but I imagined normal stairs. We had elders and a pregnant woman on our group and it was tough getting the baggage up and down the stairs. I suggest you add an extra-fee service for someone to help carrying the guests luggage.Edwardsen from Italy – 15 October 2024 (7/10)
Great location to explore major sites, get to/from train station. They had stocked amenities (shampoo, soap, toilet paper, coffee and tea) so didn’t have to purchase our own during stay.
What could be improved: Very loud at night on the weekend. There is construction so most windows and natural light was blocked during our stay.Bartosz from Poland – 9 April 2024 (8/10)
The location is great – very close to the Rialto bridge. Rooms are big and comfortable (except the small room with two beds). The kitchen equipment is ok – you can find all you need.
What could be improved: There was a renovation in the building and all windows were covered with some kind of net – no view at all, and construction workers could just enter the room if windows were left open (information about the renovation was sent very late, just after the allowed cancellation period was over); Steep stairs, but this is to be expected in such an old building – it was not a problem for me, but for some may be a no-go. And you have to know that you need to take your trash with you, there is a fine if you leave it in the property (this information also comes very late, in PDF sent just before arrival).Jkuzsel from United Kingdom – 10 January 2024 (9/10)
Central location. Spacious bedrooms.snd kitchen. Lovely bathroom.
Very comfortable beds.
There was an issue with shower leak but this was sorted out really efficiently after I let manager know.
Apartment was immaculate. Love the terrazzo flooring.
What could be improved: Lots of Steep stairs to apartment. Luckily we had sons with us to help carry cases up.
Quite noisy but to be expected as this is on main route from late bars round the market area.
Neither of these prevented us enjoying our stay but I think worth letting people know especially about stairs.Francesca from Isle of Man – 24 November 2023 (8/10)
Everything was very clean, and the kitchen had everything you needed. Small mini market (Coop) was only 5 minutes away and the local market stalls were only 3 minutes away. Great location.
What could be improved: The stairs were steep – although you have to remember this is Venice!Melinda from Australia – 24 August 2023 (8/10)
Everything, location, cleanliness and staff were extremely helpful!!
Air conditioning was brilliant considering how hot it was in Venice.
What could be improved: The boiler/air con unit (not sure which one it was) made awful noises all night long and you would be in the middle having a shower and the water would drop to freezing and take awhile to go back to being hot again.Julia from United Kingdom – 21 August 2023 (8/10)
Location was very good, modern and well appointed. Very clean. Easy check in on arrival
What could be improved: The bedroom had a noisy boiler/watertank/ aircon?
No complementary tea or coffee provided. Limited amount of cleaning materials and toiletries left for guests. (only just sufficient)Tracey from United Kingdom – 26 July 2023 (9/10)
The apartment was in a great location, it was big, the bedrooms worked well and the aircon was needed. The apartment was easy to find and within walking distance of shop, restaurants etc.
What could be improved: The stairs was very steep to get up to property, we had 4 cases and it was very dangerous.
Also we was a family of 5 people staying in the apartment but it only has a 2 seater sofa, more comfy seating needed to enjoy the apartment more.
