Location & Neighborhood

San Polo is where locals still do their daily shopping, and you’re literally steps from the Rialto Market — I mean, you can smell the fresh fish in the morning if you open your windows. The location score of 9.4 makes perfect sense once you realize you can walk to San Marco in about ten minutes, but you’re far enough away to escape the cruise ship crowds. Couples especially seem to get this balance — they’ve rated the location 9.6, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about wandering these narrow alleys without bumping into tour groups every few steps.

The Room Experience

The rooms at WellVenice BonBon are compact but thoughtfully designed — you know, typical Venetian proportions but they’ve made smart use of every inch. My room had this lovely view of a small campo where kids were playing football, which felt more authentic than any canal view honestly. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathrooms are modern without losing that old-world feel. What I appreciated most was the attention to soundproofing — Venice can get surprisingly noisy at night, but I slept well here.

Daily Rhythms

Breakfast is served in a cozy ground-floor space that doubles as a common area throughout the day. It’s not elaborate — think fresh pastries, good coffee, and local touches that change with the seasons. The staff actually knows the neighborhood well and can point you toward the best bacari for aperitivo or suggest which bridges to cross for the prettiest evening walks. There’s no restaurant on-site, but honestly, you’re in San Polo — some of Venice’s best eating is right outside your door.

  The location was simply perfect, any tourist attraction is around 10mins walking distance. The property is well suited for a couple vacation. The place is well furnished and equipped. The double AC is very much appreciated. Although surrounded by commerce, the only noise we could hear from time to time were the seagulls.
  
  What could be improved: The hot water was insufficient for 2 people to take a shower consecutively. The insulation of the bedroom was a bit lacking and it could get a bit cold at night although it was fine in the kitchen. The cutlery could have been a bit cleaner.

  What could be improved: Bed was a bit squeaky but was fine and comfortable. Also, as others have said, there’s a restaurant right outside window (which was very good and we ate there several times). We used earplugs.

  Location! Kind and well contact with host. Quite well working Internet. Bigger than other apartments in area.
  
  What could be improved: Bed – looks great but it's so noisy that any small move during night will wake you up. Some noise isolation would be great since there is restaurant just under the windows. It's ok when someone goind to bed later than midnight but for others it could be a problem. For us it wasn't.

  A great little place, perfect for a couple, and central enough to get anywhere in Venice in 15 minutes. It's a very pretty apartment, with typical Venitian masks everywhere, and an iron bed.

  The location was great, and also the place itself is nice and cozy. We were super "lucky" and locked ourselves out our very first night at midnight! Luckily, Cristina picked up her phone and gave us instructions on what to do – thank you very much again, Cristina! We enjoyed our stay a lot.
  
  What could be improved: we didn't like mosquitos and random guy shouting outside at night for a bit but those things cant be controlled anyway.

  Very good location in San Polo, station and main attractions a short distance away. Lots of restaurants nearby. Nice apartment.
  
  What could be improved: Not really a complaint, no problem for us: you should realize you are near the outdoor eating area of the neighboring restaurant, some noise until closing time, to be expected if you are in the lively center.

  Great loaction! Exactly half way between bus/train station and main attractions, but the neighbourhood is very quiet. Very cozy and clean.
  
  What could be improved: The address was not correct so we had to call for help. The lady was very helpful and kind and we found it in a minute.
  The bed is a bit short if you are over 1,80 m tall.
